Italy's DSU is not a scholarship in the competition sense — it is a public right. Diritto allo Studio Universitario, the "right to university study" system, is written into law and operated by every Italian region.

The support it delivers is need-based and large: a student from a middle-income Pakistani family can sit in a European public university tuition-free, with housing, meals, and a cash grant attached.

So why do more Pakistani families not know it? The vocabulary — DSU, ISEE, parificato, mensa, CAF — reads like a wall, the regions run it under different names with different calendars, and the agents have noticed: they sell "guaranteed DSU packages" for a benefit that is free by law.

This guide hands you the architecture instead, because the DSU is not an exam you win. It is a file you assemble — and it rewards order and punishes panic.
